Blackhearts & Sparrows

Made with Right Angle in Melbourne. Blackhearts & Sparrows, a business established
by siblings Paul and Jessica Ghaie, the brand currently encompasses
13 stores across Canberra, Melbourne and Hobart. Their ethos of
making great wine both affordable and accessible to all, makes them one of my personally most frequented stores during my 3 years spent in Melbourne.

As Blackhearts & Sparrows moved their headquarters to a former pub on Smith Street, Collingwood, they divided their space into two – whilst having their offices upstairs, they opened up downstairs, known as ‘Perry’s’ (after Perry St), for hire as a private
event space, with a calendar of public events such as wine tastings,
fundraising events, guest dinners and more.

Right Angle approached me with this very fun brief to create
a suite of abstract illustrations for Perry’s identity and signage. We played with the concept of refreshment, piquing curiosities in experiencing the venue
and capturing the core spirit of Blackhearts & Sparrow.
